As one of the longest-standing family jewelry shops in Detroit, it’s fair to say that creating is part of our DNA.

Over the past 51 years, our family has had the pleasure of serving generations of Detroiters. From designing a couples engagement ring in 1979 and celebrating the birth of their first child in 1983, to picking out a graduation present for their grandchild in 2023. At Swiss, we’ve watched generations grow as they walk through our door on the 3rd floor of the Advance Building.

While the times have changed, much about Swiss has remained the same: the creativity of our designs, the quality of our work, the effort we put into educating our clients, and the extra time we commit to making sure each piece is absolutely perfect.

WE’VE REMAINED FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED FOR OVER 50 YEARS

In 1952, Harout Eurdekian sat at his jewelry bench in Beirut, Lebanon and began to bring his master creations to life. In 1972, he founded Swiss Jewelers in the Advance Building of Southfield Michigan. Since then, the Eurdekian family has continued sharing their love for quality craftsmanship and beautiful design with clients in the metro-Detroit area and beyond.

Today, Harout’s son Raffi continues his fathers legacy as the owner and manager of Swiss Jewelers. He is a GIA Graduate Gemologist, professional jewelry appraiser, and expert CAD/CAM jewelry designer with an educational background in engineering.
